Join Sarah for Restorative Yoga!

Restorative Yoga helps you rest, relax & renew. We will use props to fully support the body in the pose. This allows you to release into the pose for a longer hold and greater relaxation.

When practicing restorative, we relax our body and mind. A restorative practice will slow the nervous system. Restorative can rebuild and conserve energy by slowing the heart rate, promote healthy intestinal function and calm the fight-or-flight receptors in our brain.

Doesn’t this sound like a nice way to take care of your self during the holiday season?

With the New Year creeping upon us, we all start thinking of all of these massive goals we want to undertake!

Lose the weight
Eat more veggies
Start working out
Pay off the debt
Cut out fast food
Etc. Etc.

I am right there with you! I want to tackle it all and all at once! I look at the New Year as I brand new day, brand new life- the life I want to be living and I know I can be. However, when we set a ton of goals (which is completely acceptable- we just need to work on our approach) and try to tackle them all at once, we can find ourselves burnt out when we don't see immediate results.

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" and that step can be as simple as drinking one cup of water.

I recommend, as it works for me and may not for you and that's ok, writing down the goals you want to tackle. If you have a planner (do people still use paper planners?! I do!!), tape it to the inside. You can also tape it to your mirror, your fridge, on your phone- whatever you need to do to see it every day. And by looking at the planner- I consciously choose one goal to make a step towards that day.

If you need to- break down how you will achieve that goal! For example- more water. Maybe by a large water bottle that has the capacity to hold the ounces you need in a day for your body weight. I did this last year and you would be surprised at how easy it is now for me to drink the amount of water my body needs! And is no longer a chore that I need to keep up with how much I've consumed.

What are some of your goals and how are you going to chip away to achieve them this coming year?

If you need more help- January 11th we will have this amazing workshop that can help you! You don't want to miss it!
