![]() You cannot pour from an empty cup... But so much of us do... It doesn't have to be just women giving the energy that they don't have for themselves, but we tend to do it more often than not. Living in the mentality that you cannot say "no" and that you don't want anyone to suffer, you will go above and beyond to make sure that they are taken care of, while you yourself are on your last leg and crying when alone because you are so tired. This happens every day. It happens with me often. That final straw that just broke my back... Where I throw in the towel and take a "Me Day"... But that's not healthy... We need to maintain an active self-care routine to prevent this burnout. Self-care is taking the time out of your busy day, or busy week, and doing whatever makes your soul sing. It could be reading, watching the stars, taking a bath, getting a massage, yoga class, communion with sisters, cooking yourself a nice meal... Whatever makes you sit back and say "ahh that's exactly what I needed to let go". It is encouraged to fill your cup at least once a week. Some carve out time to do it every day and kudos for that! In our HERizon Red Tent Temple this Friday, March 31st (630-9pm) we will discuss why it's important to take care of ourselves, as we fill our "cups" in the tent! Join us as we fill ourselves us so we can go back out into the world healing, loving, and taking care of those around us!
