Alysia's yoga journey began more than 15 years ago and her practice has varied with changes in her life, but became a dedicated part of her life over 4 years ago when she realized it would be the key to recovery from past trauma. Knowing that, she took an even deeper step in her self-healing and embarked upon a 200HR YTT which she completed in March 2021.
Yoga is a science of self-realization which is the highest form of self-healing. It has taught her how to heal and strengthen her mind, body and spirit. Alysia's desire in becoming a teacher is to share with others how healing, restorative and transformational yoga can be regardless of age or fitness level. Alysia hopes to encourage others to practice yoga not only “on the mat” but “off the mat” as well, and to feel the peace it brings when you’re able to still the mind which is often so difficult with the demands of today’s world.
She loves continuing to learn new things every day and observes her life’s journey as an evolution to her highest Self. Knowing yourself is the path to freedom.
